Our new fundraiser, Birdie for Beethoven, is just around the corner!  We'll be gathering at TopGolf on Thursday, May 20, 5-8 p.m. for an in-person get-together, woohoo!!!  Bring family and friends for this event that requires no prior experience as a golfer. We'll play in socially-distanced, open-air bays. Registration includes a BBQ dinner, goodie bag, a discount on a future Charlotte Symphony concert, a chance for a door prize and a lifetime membership at TopGolf. Register by clicking on the link below.

SAVE THE DATE. Right behind our TopGolf event is our Annual Meeting on Tuesday, May 25, 5:30-6:45 p.m. We'll meet again on Zoom though have high hopes this will be the last time we'll have to meet virtually. Watch for details in your email (or in your snail mailbox, if that's how you told us you prefer to receive communications.)

WDAV has produced a podcast about The Symphony Guild of Charlotte which will be posted on its website Monday, April 19, and promoted on-air throughout the week. Charlotte Symphony's CEO David Fisk and I were interviewed by WDAV announcer Rachel Stewart. We talked about the Guild's mission, gave examples of the collaboration between our two organizations and invited listeners to become Guild members. We are very grateful to David for supporting us in this great opportunity and to our wonderful 24/7 classical music station for featuring us in this way.

Mark your calendar for the Southeastern Orchestra Volunteer Association's Roundtable conference which The Symphony Guild of Charlotte is proud to host this fall, October 13-14.

Our Guild was recently recognized by SOVA for how we coped with the challenges of COVID. You can read the article in SOVA's newsletter, Rondo. The same edition featured an article on our own Jenny Tolson, Charlotte's SOVA liaison.
