Hello Guild Members!

I hope you have been enjoying your summer. We are looking forward to kicking off the fall with several noteworthy activities. Please read what we have planned for our Symphony Guild.

SAVE THE DATE. Our Fall Membership Meeting is set for Tuesday, September 28 in the evening. Due to the continued state of the pandemic, we will be holding the meeting virtually. Zoom call information will be provided with the registration notification soon. Be sure to sign up and join us to kick-off the new season.

Update on SOVA Roundtable - The SOVA Board has made the decision to cancel the 2021 Roundtable scheduled for October 13-14 at the Peninsula Yacht Club in Cornelius due to the cautionary warnings of COVID's Delta variant. We thank Betty Seifert and her committee for planning an incredible program with our chapter hosting this event not only for the 2021 Roundtable but also the 2020 conference which was also postponed.

In case you haven't heard, our Education Committee has developed a Music Major College Preparation Seminar Series. The program entails several seminars presented by a panel of CSO musicians who have knowledgeable insight and experience to share with potential music major students. Learn more about the scheduled programs and what they offer HERE.

Volunteers Needed! The CSO is now requiring Background Checks for any individual who is volunteering at a CSO sponsored event with children (Young Artists Competition, MPZ, etc). Learn more about their reason for this new policy and how to complete the process to ENROLL HERE.

Beat Beethoven 5K is BACK this fall! Lace up your shoes and get ready to rock to Beethoven's 5th Symphony. Scheduled for November 12-14, this fun event will be virtual so you can participate from anywhere! More details will be announced soon.
