Southeastern Orchestra Volunteer Association

The Southeastern Orchestra Volunteer Association (SOVA) was founded by Gigi Leffler and Ginger Kelly, past presidents of
The Symphony Guild of Charlotte, Inc. This regional group was formed so volunteers could get to know one another, learn
and exchange ideas.
In 2005, SOVA was approved as a 501(c)3 organization by the IRS and held its first Roundtable in Charlotte, NC.
Each member organization has a SOVA liaison to share ideas and resources. Many of these members move on to SOVA executive board positions.
SOVA will hold its 16th Annual Roundtable on October 13-14, 2021, at The Peninsula Yacht Club in Cornelius, NC. The Symphony Guild of Charlotte, Inc. will be the host organization with support from a local committee including Betty Seifert, SOVA past president; Elizabeth Connor Stewart, SOVA director-at-large; Jenny Tolson, Symphony Guild of Charlotte, Inc. liaison; Debbie Abels, Symphony Guild of Charlotte, Inc. president; and Ginger Kelly, advisor.
