Endowment
Established in 2001, the Enrichment Endowment Fund
provides grants for The Guild's enrichment area.
Deadline for 2009 grants is November 15th. Winners
will be announced at The Guild Winter meeting. Any member of The
Guild is welcome submit a grant request, which must be signed by an
officer of The Guild.

Musical Petting Zoo
These animals are housebroken. Help take The Guild's collection of
instruments to various events to educate and excite children about the
orchestra. Refreshments, hosting or staffing.
Lollipops Concerts
Are you a sucker for kids? Volunteers pass out Lollipops to
children after each concert.
School Concerts
Quick and easy. Volunteers needed to usher at weekday morning
concerts given by the Charlotte Symphony for school children at Ovens Auditorium.
This requires only three days (6 concerts) as scheduled by the CSO.
Master Class
Rub elbows with the greats! Charlotte Symphony Guest soloists
teach three or four young musicians in a Saturday morning master
class.
Scholarships
We love to make grants to our Youth Orchestra members! We fund merit
and need-based scholarships for private music study, tuition
assistance and summer study grants. |
Youth Artists Competition
Brighten up the winter doldrums and hear some of the most gifted
young musicians in Charlotte and the surrounding area. Help organize a
day of competition in the categories of voice, piano, wind and
strings.
Winners of the Senior Division will be honored at the
22nd Annual Youth Festival. Each grand prize winner selected from the
above categories will solo on the stage of the Belk Theatre with the
renowned Charlotte Symphony Orchestra.
Youth Festival
Celebrate our accomplished young musicians as our Grand Prize
Senior Young Artists' competition winners and the Youth Orchestras
perform with the Charlotte Symphony. Direct your creative juices in
any of the following areas: planning the sale of ads, preparing
refreshments, hosting or staffing.
